In June, the retail sales of textiles and clothing in the euro area decreased by 2.2% compared to the same period last year.

According to data released by the European Union statistics bureau 5, in June this year, the retail sales of 15 countries in the euro area decreased by 0.6%, down 3.1% from the same period last year.

In June, the retail sales of food, beverage and tobacco products in the euro area decreased by 0.4%, down 4.4% compared with the same period last year. The retail sales of non food commodities, including textiles, clothing, footwear and daily necessities, decreased by 0.6%, down 2.2% from the same period last year.

Among them, the euro area's largest economy, Germany's retail sales in June decreased by 1.4%, down 1.6% compared to the same period last year.

In May 08, retail sales in the euro area increased by 0.5%, a slight decrease of 0.1% over the same period last year.

The data also showed that in June, the retail sales volume of the 27 countries in the EU decreased by 1%, down 1.1% from the same period last year.
