Clothing Production Export Wages

As soon as Ramadan is on the way, the BKMEA has announced that it has increased wages for its 800 thousand employees of more than 1400 factories, an increase of 20%. However, the move was strongly opposed by the Meng Garment manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA). BEMEA chairman said that only when the currency of the Mongolian currency (Taka) depreciated by 3-4 percentage points would it be possible to raise the wages of employees so as to ensure the safety of the garment industry.
