Peru Decided To Re Investigate Anti-Dumping Duties On Shoes Originating In China'S Textile Fabrics.

The Peru competition and Intellectual Property Protection Commission approved the decision 096-2008/CDS-indecopi in July 2008 10.

The decision pointed out that, taking into account the decision of the competition protection court of the state competition and the intellectual property protection department, the decision on the application of anti-dumping duties on shoes made of textiles from China, which was previously undecided by the Commission of inquiry (decision 035-2007/CDS-indecopi), was invalid. The anti-dumping investigation on shoes made of textile fabrics originating in China would be carried out. At the same time, according to the rules of the WTO anti-dumping committee that the date of investigation of the retrial cases was as close as possible to the date of investigation, the investigation period will start from 2002 to June 2008. Besides, the competition court's judgment and its documents will become an integral part of the investigation material.


The goods under investigation included 6404111000, 6404112000, 6404190000 and 6405200000 footwear under the customs tariff code.


The investigation was carried out at the request of Peru leather, shoes and accessories company (Association).
