It was not easy for the Iraqi delegation to participate in the Beijing Olympic Games. Until July 29th, the International Olympic Committee reached an agreement with the Iraqi government to allow Iraqi athletes to take part in the Olympic Games.

In the Beijing Olympic Games, only 4 athletes in Iraq participated in track and field and rowing competitions.

Due to lack of funds, Dana Hussein, who took part in sprint, could only compete in a pair of broken "second-hand" running shoes.

"This pair of running shoes was bought in a second-hand market in Jordan.

Though the vamp is somewhat damaged, it is comfortable and quality.

Dana said, "the quality of running shoes made in Iraq is not good enough. It will wear out in a week, and imported brand-new running shoes are too expensive."
