Thailand'S Ministry Of Commerce Says Textile Exports To The EU Need To Be Marked With Raw Materials.

Api La Ali, director of Thailand foreign trade department, said that the operators of textiles exporting to the European Union (EU) must indicate the names of textiles and attach instructions before exporting them.

The European Commission has published the new rules. The imported textiles must indicate the name and description of the products, especially the types and names of the fibers used and the ingredients of the products.

Thailand exported textiles to the EU, with an average annual value of 47 billion 17 million baht for 2006-2008 years.

Among them, the total export value of Thailand in 2008 was 45 billion 122 million baht, a decrease of 1.3%.
