Vietnam'S Footwear Industry Has About 30% Workers Jumping Jobs.
According to the Ministry of light industry of Vietnam's Ministry of industry and commerce, Vietnam has more than 450 enterprises engaged in leather and footwear production (excluding family and self-employed units), including 16 state-owned enterprises, 214 private enterprises, 20 joint ventures and more than 200 foreign-funded enterprises. The average monthly salary of such enterprises is still lower than that of other industries, with the workers in the north from 1 million to 1 million 500 thousand shields (about 88 US dollars), while in the south there are 1 million 350 thousand to 2 million shields (about 117 dollars).
According to statistics, about 30% of the workers in these enterprises (including seasonal operating workers) have job hopping, and the main reason is that they have received very low wages and doubts. In the future, the production and operation of these industries will be faced with more difficulties. Especially for foreign-funded enterprises engaged in footwear production and operation, they are currently faced with problems such as lack of labor, short supply of raw and secondary materials in the domestic market and rising purchasing power.
